Southern Sundays @ Gray's On Main

SSMyers Brothers Presents The Southern Sundays Concert Series at Gray’s on Main.   Like the South has an infinite variety of people, colloquialisms, food subcultures, and traditions,  Myers Brothers Presents at Gray’s on Main showcases an eclectic assortment of musical guests from every style and niche.  Come prepared, each Sunday evening, for a delicious dinner or cocktails (or both), PLUS an outstanding show featuring three artists.  The Myers Brothers attempt to locate the highest caliber of talent that can be found and book them along with other compatible artists.  Half the fun is building each evening’s show so that, like Gray’s delicious food, you will experience multiple, complimentary musical flavors.

I'm playing February 23.  For more information and tickets, click here.

Band of Sisters

BOSDavid Mindel took six weeks to travel to the US writing with Miriam Stockley, Alissa Moreno, Alison Joy Williams and Angela Kaset.  Back in France he started putting all the pieces together; writing songs at a distance with some of the singers while working on the recordings of others.

Although he played many of the instruments in his studio at home in Provence, France, he also wanted the input of some great musician friends from around the world and so he enlisted the very best players to add their wonderful performances while the ladies recorded their vocals wherever they lived.

‘Issues’ took ten months to record with 15 wonderful singers performing 16 songs with thirty-six brilliant musicians!

Can you learn more about the project here.

Come hear some new songs tonight!

Bluebird Cafe9:00 In The Round with Sherrie Austin, Alana Springsteen, Alissa Moreno and Jordyn Mallory, $10.00
These talented ladies rule the round tonight! There’s Austin (Never Been Kissed, Little Bird, Streets Of Heaven), along with Moreno (Next Time, Far From Here, Every Day), Mallory (Rain Is Bad For Me, You, Summertime) and young up and coming artist Springsteen – not the daughter of Bruce - for her all around talent.

Round at Douglas Corner

Douglas-CornerAt Douglas Corner, you will often be entertained by future hit songs long before they are even heard by the artists who will eventually record them. It is also where one might often witness an impromptu jam session with legendary artists, players and writers.

Douglas Corner is for songwriters and aspiring artists, what the world famous “Improv” is for comedians. It has been a showcase venue for such artists as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, Marc Collie, The Kentucky Headhunters, Billy Dean, John Berry, Blake Shelton and many others.

Come see me Saturday, November 30 at 6:00.  Should be a good one!

Singing Their Stories

SAFEOn Friday November 8, SAFE (Soldiers and Families Embraced) and The Beat of Life are hosting their 1st annual Singing Their Stories benefit concert at Austin Peay University.

September 20-22, Songwriters, soldiers, and staff from SAFE and The Beat of Life gathered for the Songwriters for Soldiers retreat. Here, veterans battling PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and the residual effects of TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) teamed up with hit songwriters from Nashville and beyond to write songs that tell very personal stories about the war they've carried home.

Singing Their Stories is the culmination of the Songwriters for Soldiers program. This concert will feature HIT songwriters performing these very songs....OUR soldiers stories, put to melody. Special guests to be announced. Stay tuned.  Country music artist and songwriter David Bradley (Get a Hero Home) will be emceeing this very special event.
